Yes, how are other cereal grains affected? Spelt and Kamut are primitive wheats; rye is related, and triticale is a wheat/rye cross. I wouldn't want to have to try to replace the cereal crops of an entire nation overnight, but on a small scale would a homesteader be able to grow wheat alternatives?
